Everyone might have the best bit they love about their home and it can be anything: the family, the children, the antique collection, the memories, the cozy sofa, you name it!, and it can even just be a beautifully presented living room or the cuddliest bedroom!
While not many of us think about the bathrooms really, there are sometimes, as a busy mother, that’s the best place for me to have some most needed peace and rest from the never-ending house chores! There are days I just go and hide in the bathroom with/without my phone and/or laptop to have my own “me time”.
When we moved into our home 6 years before, it definitely needed renovation as it was rented before and was given almost no care! After giving away almost everything we saved towards the deposit, we were left with a very small budget for renovation and we choose to redesign the bathroom.
“It is always advised to try and renovate the bathroom atleast when you buy a rented property”
A virtual design might help to get the best out of the space
Often, the bathrooms are built in a small space and especially when you live in London, it is something unavoidable. It is worth spending a good amount of time to think about what you exactly need while designing the Bathroom. Think about the space and practicality and buy the bathroom fittings and accessories according to the size of the bathroom you are left with!
Bright and Bold tiles makes it stand-out regardless of the space:
Using white tiles with decorative tiles in between gives a fantastic look to the bathroom regardless of how small the space is! We used an array of black square mosaic tiles and stone, crystal, and glass mosaic in the centre of the bathroom, they are on the sides of wash basin making it stand out. There are more compliments about the decorative tiles than complaints about the small space!”
Choose the accessories that would fit in the space:
While you go shopping, it is natural that you get attracted towards the luxury and lovely items in the display, but before buying anything, think if it would fit in the space. Choosing the right size bathroom accessories make the bathroom neat and tidy and it definitely needs planning before you start redesigning the bathroom. When we did the extension, we chose to have a small shower room with a WC downstairs and chose the accessories after carefully considering the space and how well it will be used.
There are some good tips from the leading suppliers of stylish and affordable products, the Gul Group favourite part of our bathroom, obviously I choose my feature/decorative tiles.”
Have you done any renovation? Have you redesigned the bathroom? What is the best bit of your home!?
We would love to hear your thoughts.
