I worried less about my thinning hair that happened right after having my second child (actually, never even thought about it) until one of my friends mentioned, how disturbed she was while looking at the ladies in early 40s with so thin hair!. She actually has a gorgeous, thick hair and if she is worrying so much about it, how about me!?…. who already has a very thin hair!
I had a long, thick, straight hair while I was in my teen and staying away from home to pursue my career means less time to maintain my long, Rapunzel hair!, so I did everything I could to torture mum so she will let me cut it short and there after, it has always stayed short :).
Although It was easy to look after the short hair and the pregnancies gifted me with shiny, glowing hair. However, I didn’t think much about healthy eating after delivering my second child and eventually that resulted in hair loss and weakness.
The worry of thinning hair caught me badly and one of the popular search engine advised to include iron rich products in daily routine! So, I tried Iron supplements (the easiest way) but there has been hardly any improvement and living in London adds to the chaos with hard water everywhere that is been so rude on the hair!
With so many other things to concentrate, I left the thought about my hair aside (although it was deeply worrying whenever I look at myself in the mirror). Then, there was an e-mail from Mumsnet asking if I would be interested to try the new TRX2® products. Why not!? I am always keen to try the new products and if they work positive, it is a double bonus.
TRX delivered a parcel with 3 Months’ supply of TRX2® Molecular Food Supplement for Hair and 3 Months’ supply of TRX2® Hair Revitalizing Lotion
WHAT does TRX2® contain?
TRX2® combines potassium chloride, branched chain amino acids (BCAA) and nicotinamide (niacin) – all powerful, nutritional stimulants – with a pure form of a naturally-generated substance (L-Carnitine-L-Tartrate). – Is iron hiding somewhere here or did I really waste so many months of trying iron supplements !?
Wondering why there are two different products?
TRX2® Molecular Food Supplement for Hair is tablet based and it boosts the absorption of essential nutrients within the hair follicle to support the production of strong, healthy hair. Advised to take 3 tablets per day and they can either be taken one at a time or you can just gobble all three in one go! I liked that idea as it is too hard to remember taking the tablets especially when they are supplements. So, I followed the later – 3 tablets in one go everyday after my lunch!
TRX2® Hair Revitalizing Lotion: One 60 ml bottle contains a month’s supply.
This is to apply to the scalp in the areas of thinning hair, just 1ml with dropper twice a day and then gently massage the scalp (once in the morning and once at night).
I started trialing the products from first week of April and it is been 3 months. I used the lotion just on the crown and top/front (close to forehead) of my head where I observed the little patches that aren’t that visible.
Results
Although I haven’t noticed a huge difference in new hair growth, the amount of strings I find in the shower drain and the hair brush has been reduced quite considerably. So, assuming the loss is less, I am hoping to see thicker hair soon. There are no complements yet to how my hair looks but I do feel the hair feels a bit healthier and shinier than before. I can feel a bit more volume when I hold my hair to tuck them all in a hair band. It has been always wavy so I am not expecting any change in the texture.
Considering the fact that the results with TRX2® is not as quick as we would love to and majority of the users see a significant difference only after around 12 to 18 motnhs of usage, I think to see a significant chance, I need to continue using the products for few more months atleast.
Here is my recent picture
Would I buy more TRX2® ?
Well, TRX2® is on the expensive side costing £47.96 for aTRX2® Molecular Food Supplement bottle and £42.36 for a TRX2® Hair Revitalizing Lotion bottle. Considering the cost and the necessity, I am so tempted to hold the fire for the next few months to see if there has been any tremendous loss of hair again but if I really want to see a difference I need to use it for few more months. So, it is the deciding time for me, tough when I am not the bread winner at home!
If you are in the early hair loss stage, trying TRX2® may help in a very noticeable way .
TRX2® ahs Other products in the range that include:
· Hair Revitalizing Foam coming soon – £42.36 per bottle
· TRX2® Thickening & Styling cream – £17.25 per jar

Oh I’ll be interested to see if this works. My hair came and went after both my kids, and always eventually thickened up again, but since I’ve hit late forties, it really has started to lose volume. It would be nice to think there’s a solution.
After having my daughter I lost a lot of hair – I’ll have to look into this!
It sounds like an interesting product. I have thin hair as well and i do worry about it getting even thinner with the passing of the years.
I’m always really interested to see if these things work! X
I would love to know if this works. After having my 2 kids my hair has got so thin and breaks so easily.
I didn’t know hair could thin after having children! Something else which makes me scared of ever having babies haha.
Sounds like a pretty clever formula. I’m lucky that my hair hasn’t changed since having kids, but then it still could!
I haven’t personally had kids, but ill be sure to recommend this post to those I know that have. Really interesting to read though.
Sounds really good. I lost a lot of hair post partum but luckily it seems to have mostly come back!
This sounds clever stuff! Thankfully my hair was one area that didn’t suffer from having my girls!
My hair has definitely taken a pummelling post children you should see what comes out in the shower!!! This definitely sounds like it’s worth a shot to try and circumvent hair loss.
I suffer from hair loss, mine is due to an underactive thyroid so this post was really interesting to me. Elinor x
I went through an awful time with my hair, it upset me so badly.
I went for natural light shampoo’s & came off of contraception & it all equaled itself out.
Limiting styling helps too,
Hope the products help
Interesting product. Especially for mums after giving birth. Hope you see even more results soon.
Really interested to see if this works, after two children my hair has definitely changed.
Looks like an amazing creation for people that are unfortunate enough to suffer from thinning hair, I suppose that the price is warranted if your self confidence is affected.
(Hubby helping out)
I lost so much hair after my second baby, thankfully it has grown back but its good to know there are products like this available!
I’ll be interested to see if you continue with this. It would be great if it worked, but I do agree with you that it is expensive
Oh I would love to try this! After five children my hair is half the thickness it once was, and it isn’t even thick to start with! It gets me really down, I live in hope of a miracle product!
My hair hasn’t been affected by my 3 pregnancies but it does get pulled out in clumps by little hands 🙁
I lost so much hair after having my son. I was gutted as my pregnancy hair was amazing!!
What an interesting product! We’d be intrigued to see if this works too as thinning has always worried my mummy
my husband is losing his hair and very self conscious about it. Sounds like a great product
My hair has never fully recovered from three pregnancies in quick succession.
My hair thankfully has always been okay after the post pregnancy hair loss. Hoping for the same the thrid time round too. xx
I feel your pain on the thinning hair! Mine was bad after having B and I can’t say it’s fully recovered. Less shedding is definitely a good thing and it would be great to know long term how you get on if you do decide to continue.
