What immediately comes to your mind when you think of sausages? – Obviously, it would be Pork for many of us. There is always a debate about sausages but they make a quick meal and can go on different recipes for a healthy meal, and most kids love them, so do mine! They eat pork sausages only when we are out and about. I don’t eat Pork and don’t cook at home either. Most of the meat we consume at home would be chicken (We love Chicken Burgers), a little of lamb and a lot of fish!
So… How do I meet the demands of the children when they like to have Sausages at home?, that’s when the chicken sausages come in handy especially during the school holidays!
When I was invited by Richmond to celebrate the launch of their brand new chicken sausages, I was quite happy to add one more choice to the meal plan, plus it was a treat to learn a few recipes from the 2017 Celebrity MasterChef winner, Angellica Bell
Chicken sausages may not be a popular food amongst most of us but they have their own health benefits.
According to study, Pork sausage has 290-455 calories and 23-38 grams of fat per link. Turkey and chicken sausage has 140-160 calories and 7-10 grams of fat for the same amount. That’s hundreds of calories and fat grams dodged per link.
Richmond chicken sausages have 30% less fat and 20% fewer calories than the traditional Pork sausages!
The event was hosted Good Housekeeping Institute Kitchens in London,, with a group of friendly bloggers where Angellica Bell and Richmond chef Mat Stephany demonstrated some recipes.
The event has been a good source of information about what people like to eat when it comes to sausage dishes, followed by the preparation of those dishes!
