Arts and Crafts are the best rescuers for me during School holidays! The stationery rack was filled with colouring pens, crayons and pencils from different brands and most times, I found them lying on the floor without the lids, dried up so much that they just have to be thrown in the bin!
Some of them hardly stays for couple of strokes and a few are just capable of leaving permanent marks on kids clothes but do nothing on papers! I have discovered BIC® KIDS colouring range while I was shopping in a very popular toy store and found them on sale, so without a second thought I grabbed a few and shortly after that I have never looked back!
To add to our collection, Mumsnet recently invited us to try the new range of colouring from BIC® KIDS. We received a pack of “BIC® KIDS Kid Couleur 12 pack, BIC® KIDS Ecolutions Evolution colouring pencils and BIC® KIDS Plastidecor® crayons.
I was very happy with the Felt pens and colouring pencils but was honestly was worried about the Crayons as the ones we had before were never the best – they were too light and needs all the strength to be given before marking anything on the paper and ofcourse the pressure usually broke them apart! So, this was a real test for the Crayons to see if they are really worth it!
After they finished trying everything from the range, I asked the kids about their favourites and I was really surprised to hear that they loved the crayons! It wasn’t slipping off the little fingers and needed a lot less pressure and most importantly, none of them broke even after an hour of drawing session!
DD2 loves drawing her family and that’s the only thing she draws all the time! If I was asked to identify the picture drawn by DD2 out of thousands of pictures displayed, I would find it with no second thought! :). And, well… this time….. “IT NEVER CHANGED”
In her view, Love is everything and especially the family should be filled with lots and lots of love that is shown as plenty of hearts and ups are downs – We all have to stick together!
She loves Rainbows, flowers and Butterflies – Just like the “Beetles, Bugs and Butterflies”!!!!!
Here is what she usually brings home from Nursery and I felt too harsh to throw them so dedicated a wall to display her arts!
We are off to Florida soon and there we are boarded and ready to fly! You usually find us sticking together whatever we do, either staying cosy inside home or going on an adventure! This time we are still together but flying high!
All the three beautiful ladies at Mummy and the Cuties have lovely long hair while Dad is portrayed as a gentleman with little hair/hat! :). And he is holding our passports! 🙂
And wait… Don’t just go yet… If you have a child aged between 5 and 11, Mumsnet is running a competition and on the hunt to find some best drawings and the chosen artworks will be displayed on a billboard in the child’s hometown!
You should be registered on Mumsnet site to post your picture. If you would like to register here is a link. Use the link HERE to submit your kids artwork.
The competition closes on the 6th of August and 10 winners will be chosen and they will also win a £50 BIC bundle of goodies! An overall winner will be chosen at random to win a £300 voucher too!
