Every Child has a Hero hiding in them! And all it needs is an opportunity to be awaken. It is definitely not restricted to Gender and I, myself am a huge fan of Spider Man. I can never count how many times I would have watched Spider Man while I was pregnant with Miss S (I think that was one of my Cravings :)). May be that could be the reason Miss S is also a huge fan of Spider Man and because we both watch him at home, Miss M is now dragged into the fan’s team.
Well, It doesn’t have to be Cinematic and Onscreen Heros. There are so many Heros in real life, and whom we live with every day. To introduce those real time heroes to the world, Build-A-Bear Workshop has launched something very exciting this time. There are people who battle against something and live life still happily and there are people who help through their activities to help such people to live through the battle. There are some who smartly invent and come up with their own ideas to help someone, somehow. From my view, They are all Heros.
To encourage such Heros and support them, Build-A-Bear have just launched our new Huggable Hero campaign that will see two youngsters each receive a £3,000 scholarship fund as well as £1,500 donation to the winner’s choice of charity.
If you think you are a superhero or if you know someone and who is a real superhero, you should really use this opportunity to nominate yourself/the real Hero you know. This is open to children aged 8-18. Let’s create an opportunity to reward those selfless individuals who go beyond the call of duty to help others, those heroes among us who inspire others through their good deeds.
You can read more about the Campaign and nominate your real Hero at http://heroes.buildabear.co.uk/HuggableHeroes.aspx.
And don’t forget it is for Heros aged 8 – 18 and the entry form closes on June 12. We are happy to be a part of the Campaign and why not you take this opportunity to join us.
