Well, this is a great week for making bracelets. And we are still making loads of Bracelets. And….. It definitely does not look like little Miss S is bored still. Indeed, She is still more interested in making new designs and would spend the whole day making Bracelets for her and her friends. Knowing her interest, we have been offered to review the new “Cra-Z-Art-Shimmer-n-Sparkle/Cra-z-loom-Bracelet-Maker” from Character online. The most interesting part of this set is the exclusive work bench to make the bracelets in different designs. Miss S loved it and couldn’t wait to try. The Bracelet making kit comes with
- The Loom – The Bracelet making board.
- 600 Latex free bands
- A hook to pick your bands
- S clips to connect.
- Instruction sheet
There are 3 types of bracelets to make
- Bridge style
- Water Fall
- Single loop Bracelet.
And there are basic instructions to get started and finishing off, which is same for all the bracelets.
The instruction sheet is very colourful which is a bonus point to attract the small kids’ attention. The Rubber bands are of good quality and comes in different colours. A very few of them were already broken in the pack and some of them broke while using. But for the 600 rubber bands, the number we lost was only around 20 which I felt is Ok.
We decided to start with the Single loop bracelet which was simpler and easier. At first, we found the instructions very confusing and difficult to follow. And Miss S definitely needed my help to start with. I have to do a few loops and let her observe what I do until she was confident enough to start doing it. She was much worried not to mess up the bracelet so (Kind of) preferred me doing it for a while and enjoyed watching. However, as few loops were done, she got attracted towards doing it herself and learnt the trick of it.
The Loop kept coming off quite a bit, but then we found a trick to make it easy and keep the loops on. Miss M was more keen on copying her sister so we had to take a compulsory break to keep her away from the bands.
The time spent was well paid. The finished bracelet was beautiful and there was a happy face (I should say Proud). It does need a lot of patience and concentration and I found it very useful to keep your little ones still for some time at one place if they are really into art and craft. Here is a small video from us.
This Cra-Z-Art-Shimmer-n-Sparkle Cra-z-loom-Bracelet-Maker is available at a retail price of 14.99. I felt it might attract more eyes at a price of 9.99 may be. But it would be a nice craft for your little girl to do with her friends on a play day so everyone can take their own bracelet home. And that’s what I am planning to do for the Easter play date I planned.
