You wouldn’t need any intro about Angry Birds, won’t you!? Infact, if you and/or your kids are movie lovers and crazy about Angry Birds, you must have already spent few hours of your term holidays watching “The Angry Birds” movie just like how we did!
And do you know that the favourite yogurt of most families, The Frubes, has partnered with the another family favourite “The Angry Birds Movie”, and to celebrate the partnership, Frubes has created a squawksome dance-off challenge between the Angry Birds and mischievous Pigs and encouraging the families and children to join the challenge, pick a side (Angry Birds or Pigs) and show their best dance moves to become the ultimate dancer!
My kids love dancing and so do I, but with a difference! They do actually dance gracefully but I can only enjoy watching someone dancing! It’s not that I can’t dance….. but you would go mad if you see me dancing. So, I am just trying to save you from a terrible shock!
It’s the Jazz and the street dance that are quite famous here with the kids!. DD1 is practising Jazz and comforting herself in street dance and DD2 spends most of her time copying her sister’s moves! While the kids seem a bit professional, I have a special name for my dance – “The Free(dom)Dance”, you are allowed to do anything you like and there are NO RULES at all! As far as some part of your body is moving, I call it a ” The Free(dom)Dance”! 🙂
I hope, you too believe that dancing is actually a very good exercise, both for mind and body! I encourage them to dance as it has lot of benefits! The only time they are allowed to have a screen on for more than 30 minutes is while they are dancing in front of the screen!
Learning Jazz and Bharathanatiyam (an Indian classical dance), DD1 is quite busy dancing most times and if you are a regular reader of your blog, you might know she plays badminton a lot!
Eventually, a lot of activities means the necessity for healthy food and especially something that makes their bone strong! So… milk, cheese and yogurt are the essential part of my kids daily meals and snacks!
And we consume more Yogurt in winter as we obviously miss the natural Vitamin D and Frubes and Petits Filous are rich in Calcium and Vitamin D.
Petits Filous always has an allocated space in our fridge and recently Frubes has taken a place in the lunch box as it is very convenient to carry and great for lunch time (no fuss, no mess)
Health benefits of Dancing:
The Better health channel recommends dancing as one of the great exercises mainly because it does loads of good things to your mind and body and some of them includes,
- improved condition of your heart and lungs.
- better social skills.
- improved muscle tone and strength.
- weight management.
- stronger bones and reduced risk of osteoporosis.
- increased physical confidence
- improved mental functioning
Do we really need any more reasons to get influenced to dance!? Despite the health benefits, the most attractive fact is, dancing is a lot of fun!
Here is a video that I enjoyed editing and have been watching for a while now… Our #FrubesMoves Challenge video!
