The most wonderful time of the year is almost here and it is time to sort out the gifts! Although Present buying is a joyful experience for anyone, it is also considered as one of the most confusing, time-consuming and stressful experience to choose the best gift for the loved ones, especially for older people!.
I always try my best to stay away from socks and ties and browse the internet for something different and unique. While I was shortlisting a few for my Dad, I thought I would list few of my favourites here which may also be one of yours…!?
Online shopping is my favourite. While you can grab fantastic bargains, it also saves money through discount codes and exclusive online sales! If you are lucky enough, you can grab a great bargain on sites like Chums that has huge collections at a very discounted price for everyone in the family.
1 – Obi MV1 Worldphone – £100
While all of us are trying to keep up with latest technology, Dads are no different. My Dad always admired my iPhone and expressed a huge interest in learning skype chat and Whatsapp however he was never happy to be one of the users to such an expensive smartphone. Obi MV1 is definitely a perfect balance – merging style with substance. It stylish, sleek, ultra-fast and has everything that would make a perfect smartphone at a very reasonable, affordable cost. It has a very decent battery life and speaker which is absolutely brilliant.
2. Braun Beard Trimmer BT5050 – £49.99
Braun Beard Trimmer Bt5050 comes with 25 precise settings and is a great product that can be used as cordless too. This would be a perfect Christmas present for Dads and GrandDads and is one of my best favourites. We have joined Braun for Father’s Day with Mumsnet in their #TeamTickley or #TeamSoft Campaign and have featured the Braun Beard Trimmer. The Braun Beard trimmer is gentle to the skin and built with very advenced features.
3 – Cushion Walk Slip On Shoe With Memory Foam Insole – 10£ (Bargain price)
Can you believe this Cushion Walk Slip On Shoe With Memory Foam Insole costs only 10£ at Chums!? Yes, that’s what I loved about Chums as you are sure to get a good deal on products you love. I feel the slip on shoes are quite comfortable not only for older people but for everyone. The memory foam insole is gentle to the feet and looks after your feet just like how you would!
4 – Gillette Fusion ProShield Chill – £12
Although my Dad found it slightly uncomfortable to move away from traditional shaving using razors, when I first bought him a Gillette, he expressed an unexplainable happiness and was proud to use something different and advanced! This Gillette Fusion ProShield Chill combines traditional and modern shave and this is something he absolutely loves about this product! The facility to change cartridges/blades makes him more comfortable and it is very easy to clean. Most importantly, it is very gentle to the delicate skin.
5 – Gents Limit Pro Xr Watch – £28
Watch is always considered to be a great gift!, and I certainly love this Gents Limit Pro Xr watch from LovetheSales. With quite a clear display and everything on the screen, this watch is perfect to tell the time and date quickly. There is always a discount on any product on LovetheSales.

*I have received some of the products from the above list for review purpose.
I can totally relate with the smartphone thing! My parents sure love playing games on their phones but when I offered to gift them an iPhone or an iPad, they flat out refused saying it was too expensive. So I got each of them a less expensive Android tablet instead. I’m sure they’ll love that!
