This is something different… Something I have never tried in my childhood…. A fun I never thought about passing to my children….
One day, There was an E-Mail from Interplay if I would like to review the “Crystal growing studio” from their Wild science range. I was quite confused! … Crystal growing studio!? Something that imagined as it would take years to grow! I couldn’t wait to try it and so my Cutie No 1. There were too many questions before we received the kit. And I had only one answer ” Wait until you receive the kit and that should answer all your questions”
The one thing, I should remind you of… It takes just a few days to form the crystals, but you know very well… Something like this, even if it is of just a matter of days to wait, when it is to do with the child’s patience, it will push you over the edges.
The instructions are very clear, but should be followed very carefully for the best results. The kit contains everything you need so you don’t have to look for anything outside the kit. You get,
- Monoammonium Phosphate
- Plaster
- Stirring Sticks
- Yellow Color Granule => “This is too strong in colour so handle with care”
- Gloves
- Fishing line
- Decorate Paper
- Crystal Ball Mould
- Deep Dish with lid
- Plastic tea spoon
- Display box
- Colour Instruction Manual
All you have to do is, just follow the instruction step by step very carefully and don’t forget to use the gloves throughout the experiment or you might end up having a yellow painted nails and fingers for days and might stain your cloths.
Your finished Glowing crystal would look like this…
We are awaiting our crystals to grow and will upload the picture soon. Hopefully, it turns up great! 🙂
Crystal growing studio is available to buy from Interplay at an average price of £12.99. It is definitely something that would keep the kids engaged and keep up their excitement. With loads of sparkles, it would make a perfect Christmas present for any child. Recommended age is 10+ although I feel, it would be perfect from 8+.
