A while ago, I discussed about my hair loss problem postdelivery of my second child and how TRX has helped during hair loss. Although TRX helped me a lot to avoid tremendous hair loss, these are supplements that have to be taken everyday and demands a long term use to see an obvious positive result. While this helps for many people, unfortunately, just like other supplements, it may fail to meet the expectations of a few others who would love to see the results in no time and taking the supplement every day may not be a feasible option for many.
Reasons for hair Loss
While I was suffering hair loss, I did some research on the reasons for hair loss and the home remedies I could do to avoid it. It was most proven that the strong chemicals in shampoos and conditioners and other hair styling products contribute a lot of negative impacts to hair loss and hair growth. However, chemicals are not the only reason!, the everyday stress, ageing, Hormones, water quality and even genes are some significant factors that leads to hair loss.
Home remedies to control hair loss
A regular application of coconut oil seem to help significantly to control hair loss as the moisture is retained and the effect of applying shampoo on a very dry hair is reduced! But, coconut oil in cold weather is not a great option as once I have witnessed hubby with rather spiky hair as a result of the frozen coconut oil! 🙂
Head massage with hair oil helps to stimulate the blood flow in hair follicles and improves hair growth! It is a tradition in India to apply hair oil everyday but the hot weather helps to make it non-sticky in the hair! The people from Kerala, South part of India, use coconut oil and milk for cooking as well and most of their foods are prepared with coconut oil, and they are known to have a thick, shiny, healthy looking hair! 🙂
Amla, Almonds and curry leaves are known to be seem to rich with nutrients that will help reduce hair fall and stimulate hair growth!
Fenugreek is such a good natural conditioner that can be soaked overnight in water, then made as a paste in morning to be applied to the hair before a shower! Due to it’s bitterness, although it is good to consume them with yogurt, many people hate the taste!
But the help of any home remedies is either too slow or sometimes not effective at all, depending on the type and amount of hair fall and your age matters too, just like how I suffered!
Other treatments for Hair Loss
There are many vitamin supplements that you can consume everyday to help with Hair Loss. It was an interesting to know that Female pattern baldness differs to male pattern baldness, as women’s hair generally thins rather than falling out! But thinning itself is a real worry!
While there are many treatments to help with hair loss, the regrowth is often doubted. Especially the Receding Hairline, which is the most common pattern of hair loss in men and even in some women. This area may resist the medication more than the crown of the head, and so it is often recommended that patients take the medication to halt hair loss, and then use other methods, such as a hair transplant, to replace lost hair that will not re-grow on its own.
With the benefits of the advanced medical science which makes life easier, hair transplant seems to be the feasible, permanent solution to hair loss.
One of my friend’s husband who is in his early 40s, was almost balded due to heredity and benefited from the Advanced Tricho Pigmentation Treatment from Harley Street hair clinic. This seem to be an innovative pigmentation treatment that produces the most natural looking results possible and to replicate realistic and natural looking results. He is really enjoying the young look he achieved with this treatment and if you are suffering from hair Loss that is irrecoverable, I would recommend approaching the clinic for the expert advise. They also have a Graft calculator that will give you a brief intro about the kind of treatment that will be more suitable for you.
PS – The home remedies are tried and tested by me and most of them are something I learnt by tradition. If you would like to try the remedies, I would advise you to follow it with extreme care and check for any allergens and try them at your own risk.
