When I was a child, a new dress is like once in a blue moon! There would surely be “One” for Easter and another for Christmas and a few in between (If the home finance department was blooming) for birthday and if there is a wedding at home.
But now, it has changed quite drastically. I spend more time on shopping. And especially during Christma time.
is just around the corner and this is the time of the year most families spend a lot of money from their savings on Christmas preparations. Clothing and gifts. It is hard to keep the spending under control as everything that is on the shop floor is arranged and attractive in such a way that they tempt you to buy regardless of how well you would use them? !!!!
Yes, You can not keep the spending under control… but, there are loads of ways to save money on shopping. If you have self control and can resist yourself from shopping at the store, the best way to save money is to do an online shopping.
Why not browse the shop floor, have a look and feel on What you would like to buy, then just come home, relax on your Sofa and order online and just have the items delivered to your door!? Basically, We are talking about Window Shopping at Stores
Discount Vouchers and Codes – There are loads of sites that offer you discount codes and vouchers for most of the retailers like Savoo, Moneysupermarket.com and MoneySavingExpert. Personally, I like Savoo, because it is clutter free and most times the Discount code works with no Hassle.
But, Saving money just doesn’t stop with Discount codes and vouchers. There is something attractive on the online market and it is named “Cashback“.
The cashback deals are sometimes very attractive and the huge plus is, it works with discount codes. Here are some Cashback sites I regularly use
Topcashback – The one I am using for nearly 5 years now and I have managed to save over thousands. Along with the Cashback, Topcashback also provides discount codes and vouchers and you get cashback and discounts together for most of your shopping.
Quidco – This is similar to Topcashback. Although I have an account, I use it less often than Topcashback but usually, they cashback from Quidco and Topcashback are mostly the same.
The most recent sign up of mine is Shopper discounts and Rewards. I found it extremely helpful as I honestly found more better cashback from this site than the formal two. A very recent example for a great saving I have done…
Emperor Rectangular Table and 4 Folding Chairs – Chocolate is currently sold at £249.99 at Homebase. But I get 10% cashback on my online order at Homebase when I use Shopper discounts and Rewards and on top of it there was a 20% discount code. So, I saved nearly 75£ on this set and the actual cost I paid for this product after all the discounts and cashback is just 175£. Isn’t it a huge saving!?
Although, the discount code is available from most of the sites, it is the cashback that attracted me. There is one thing I should mention about Shopper discounts and Rewards. You pay 15£ a month for your membership, but this can be claimed back as a Monthly membership bonus when you shop at any retailer through Shopper Discount and Rewards website. So, You pay nothing for your membership at the end.
And… All these sites are legitimate and proven to have a good customer service and trustworthy. I never had issues with Topcashback and Shopper discounts and Rewards and haven’t claimed anything back from Quidco so far, but generally heard it is good.
And, with the world taken over by technology and most of us spending a lot of time on the gadgets, online shopping is not hectic at all. So!!!!! Why are you still waiting? Go online, shop anything you like… Spend money … BUT remember to save a little.
Disclaimer: I was under no obligation to write this post. I personally use all these sites and found them very helpful in saving money and hassle free. I thought it would be a great read for my blog lovers and would bring them some ideas about saving money.
