A few weeks before, we were invited to the launch of the I’M A GIRLY fashion doll. I am someone who accepted the fact that Girls do love dolls and that’s because they are born with the natural sense of caring and loving. So, rather than the thoughts of whether I should be taking my child to the event, I was more keen to see what this new doll has to offer.
I’M A GIRLY is a Swiss fashion doll that is made with realistic proportions and a range of hair colours, hair textures/styles and skin tones.
The doll was available to buy from Harrods and Hamleys from last month and range from £109 to £129. It comes with an outfit and more accessories and outfits can be bought separately.
The first thing that impressed me was the size of the doll, the choices of outfits and the range of accessories! For my child, it was the appearance, multiple choices in different skin colour and hair colour to choose from, the accessories, the lovely hair styles and many more!
The dolls are so beautifully made with accurate details and can be accessorised and styled to the child’s imagination. The features are so artistically sculptured and the details in the accessories are simply superb. The zip details in the boots, Buttons in denim skirt, the bag and the shoes got my child carried away. She played with the dolls during the event for nearly hours and didn’t want to go home!
When it was quieter after the event, I got a chance to chat with Theresia &
Raymond, founder and co-founder, got to know what inspired her to bring these dolls to the kids, and how did they go with designing it! ??? Having the beautiful memories of playing with dolls for hours, enjoying the #pretendplay And #Imaginativeplay, Theresia always wanted to give something better than the gadgets to kids play world that will let them learn to care and share through play! ???
It’s generally an opinion that dolls are for girls! But these dolls has a huge involvement from boys too during the design and sorting the accessories phase! They run a campaign, invite kids with creativity and listen to their ideas before bringing the dolls to the shop floor! ??? It’s mainly #kids4kids concept!
There are more than 150 Accessories available to mix and match. The #cuthairdontcare feature is something that I loved as I am hoping it will indirectly influence the kids to come forward to donate their hair for the needy.
What we loved about I’M A GIRLY
- The realistic proportion of the doll
- The range of dolls to choose from, from different skin tones to hair texture and colour
- The huge , adorable accessories that even I wanted to try some!
- Cut Hair, Don’t care feature.
Changing the hair is a bit tricky but we did it! The hair did get messy a bit but it was so easy to brush it again as the hair is so smooth and silky, wish mine was like that!
At the price of £109 , they may seem expensive ut looking at the features and the play value, they are worth it.
This post is part of a paid project with I’M A GIRLY and BritMums, promoting the I’M A GIRLY Fashion-Dolls, new high-end fashion dolls that just landed in Harrods and Hamleys.
