Have you watched The Emoji Movie yet!? If Yes, Well done! If no, then it is time to plan for some good laugh as The Emoji Movie has been released on 4th August! The movie is loaded with a huge bunch of Emojis who have only one facial expression, except for Gene, an exuberant emoji with multiple expressions. Determined to become “normal” like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his best friend Hi-5 and a notorious code breaker called Jailbreak. During their travels through the other apps, the three emojis discover a great danger that could threaten their phone’s very existence! Rest, You should discover in Cinema!
To celebrate the release of The Emoji Movie, McDonald’s has launched the #FamilyGoodTimes campaign where kids get the opportunity to meet an Emoji and have fun while enjoying their favourite meal at the restaurant. This event is held at a few restaurants across UK. I accepted the invitation to join the campaign for two most possible reasons, My kids love McDonald’s and they love Emoji.
We met Gene, the super special Emoji from the Movie! 🙂
There is a good half an hour activities planned to do with Gene and the lovely people at McDonald’s along with Gene engage the kids very well while you manage the order the food.
There is a Meet and Greet Photo session with Gene, followed by some activities and games planned with Gene!
While enjoying some interesting games with Gene, Kids also have the chance to create their own Emoji Scene with Emoji stickers and the sticker scene poster. There were loads and loads of colouring sheets, stickers and posters so there is no end to the fun!
There is a lot to interact with Gene and the activities are planned in such a way that it even get the shy kids to get involved at some point 🙂 – There were games like actioning your favourite sport and let the Emoji guess what it is, Make strange noises with modified tone and Gene will find out the owner of that noise.. 🙂
Kids really enjoyed it to the fullest and even grown-ups got involved! The kids get a certificate at the end of the play which would be a proud moment you will want to capture :). They also get a chance to fill out a survey about what they like and dislike about the event, the restaurant and their favourite activity with Gene.
It was great fun with Gene and most entertaining for the children, If you are planning to get to McDonald’s for a quick meal, why not search for the restaurants near you that are holding this event so you can make the most of the time while you are at McDonald’s – Use the postcode finder to locate the restaurant near you where you can meet the Emoji.
Don’t forget to pick up your favourite Emoji with the Kids meal. You can also buy extra toys for 99p each.
*We were invited to the event and was given a free meal for the family.
