It is been 14 years since we moved to UK and for the past 7 years, we are living near one of the historic Rugby Stadiums where the opening Ceremony was held. I drive past the stadium atleast twice a week and ofcourse had been one of the victims of the still traffic.s ………or ……. I might be yelling (quietly) at the thousands of people using the pedestrian crossing just on the day complaining myself taking that route!
Every time I drive past the Statue, I admire it although sometimes, I get annoyed with the crowd 🙂 when I run late.
We had been there for a few local matches but considering it is the World cup time, I would love to there again. Sadly, I couldn’t go on the day when we booked the tickets but Hubby did!
The picture says it all. Although I was (honestly) happy that dearest hubby managed to be there, when he showed me his Selfies (I should have been there to take a good picture of you Darling! 🙂 ) my blood was boiling!
Ok, That’s a finished story….. Now, I have another die-hard Rugby fan at home – My Dad. Although, he didn’t expect me to buy him the tickets to the world cup match and be with him while he enjoys it, being a huge fan, I know he would love if it happens and especially because it is the World cup time and is been hosted by England. It would be amazing to see him enjoy those flashing mobile phone cameras, whistles and those excited fans just like him.
There are days he sits just so close to the TV getting himself immersed into the match, so I am sure this would be an amazing moment for him. But, being his only child and financially dependent on me, he doesn’t usually ask for a lot to me and it is so hard to read his mind many times….
Why didn’t I think of it before? Why did I get him a ticket? Well, it is never too late………………….
So, I decided to take him to the Quarter-Finals on 18th October to the Twickenham Stadium but keeping it a surprise. After all, It is just not TV that he will be so close to this time :)….
I can’t wait to see and capture his expressions when he is so close to the players and glad I could do it for him.
