We love playing with Play dough but one thing we are quite upset about Play dough is, it dries sooner! Most times, I make it at home in small quantities so we don’t bother too much about it going harder. Ofcourse it is a fun in the kitchen, but there are days when I don’t find time!
But then, Plasticine seems to bring a the solution to it! It is non-toxic, soft and does not dry on exposure to air. You can mold it again and again to design your favorite characters.
We have received the following items to try.
- Plasticine 24 Colour Max £2.99
- Plasticine Fluro £1.99
- Plasticine BaSix 99p
- Plasticine FunTubulous £6.99
- Plasticine Tennage Mutant Ninja Turtles Squidgems
Plasticine stimulates the imagination and creativity and helps the children concentrate in making the best models.
They are neither hard nor too loose, Just the right texture and they stick well to other colours, so it is easy to mold into any model you would like to create. Even when you make thin stripes, they hardly break so we had fun creating different hair styles.
They are retailed at very reasonable price and you can buy them even for a pound or two. And the great part of it is, even when you buy for a pound, you get an instruction sheets with ideas to create your designs, so you are never left alone. 🙂
There is less mess when compared to Play Dough as it doesn’t dry sooner, So when you are bored of one design, you can reuse the same for your next design unless you have mashed the colours together 🙂
Plasticine is suitable for aged 3 and above. You can get them from Flair Plc and other major toy stores and Supermarkets. Overall, Plasticine is definitely a great value for money and fun for children. You also get them just in one colour so you can choose what you need.
