One thing that keeps my children away from the TV and Gadgets is Arts and Crafts! The youngest is very creative and love making models and playing with craft materials! She doesn’t like me helping, prefers to do everything on her own and seeks my help only when she is sure that she won’t be able to progress without my help!
Recently, we received a couple of craft items from Rainbow Designs Rainbow Designs from the range of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”, a Sew – n – Stuff Caterpillar design and a Super Dough Model kit.
The Super Dough Model Kit comes with a couple of tubs with Super Dough.The big tub had 2 green, a blue and a red. The small tub was filled with 2 browns, a purple and a yellow! There was a knife to cut the designs and an instruction sheet on how to make a caterpillar!
What does Rainbow designs say about VHC Super Dough Caterpillar
Little ones will have hours of fun creating their very own model of The Very Hungry Caterpillar from The World of Eric Carle out of the colourful and tactile Super Dough! Mould and fold the air-drying dough to create the famous little caterpillar and an apple for him to eat. The Kit includes two tubs of Super Dough containing five different colours as well as a safe, plastic modelling knife. Suitable for age 3 years and over.
The specialty of the super dough is that it dries up but can be made soft again and reused as many times as you like (although we haven’t tested this yet considering the amount of Super Dough in the pack)
The instructions were super easy to follow for a 5 year old and DD2 was so independent and enjoyed designing her own caterpillar!
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Sew n Stuff is although quite interesting to learn, I have to be with DD2 all the time until she finished her caterpillar including stuffing and letting it rest!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar was my FAV book when I was young. Totally love that book and I knew I had to read this post about sewing and crafting. Such a fun and cute activity.
