Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Once the children are slightly older, the first thing they earn when they are in the car is, removing the seat belt. For some reason, they find it extremely exciting and learn the trick in no time.
We even had a bad situation that we had to pay penalty while coming back from the cinema. The worst part, I did manage to secure Miss S with the seat belt, but soon after we started driving, she removed the belt and within 3 minutes of leaving from cinema, I was stopped by the police for my child not secured with seat belt. How can I explain him it was not my fault, but the child’s?:( So I was given points on my License and penalty notice. I had to go to the police station to submit my license and I was so embarrassed because I am more scared my little ones about the police station and never been there before!
BUT, You know what! I had a great fortune really (Mainly because it was not my fault and I did do my duty). Two months later, I got a letter saying there was a system fault!!!???? and so the Penalty Notice is not processed and in this instance, I won’t be fined and neither the points 🙂 How Lucky! I was jumping like a monkey really.
But, Could I expect every day to be lucky just like this as we are out and about almost every day with Kids. So, though I cannot keep checking on the seat belt, I keep reminding them not to play with the seat belt. And one day, there was something in the parcel to surprise me and to give me a relief. And it turned to be the “BeltLock“
The Installation and removal are Very Easy. All it does is, Secure the seat belt, button so it is not reachable for the little hands and hence they won’t be able to push the button and release the belt.
How do you install/remove the BeltLock?
No need of detailed explanation – The Picture explains it all.
And, removing, You need to use your car key or something similar.
Buy BeltLock online from here and priced at 12.50 Euros. Looks slightly pricy, but if you think about the advantages and safety it provides your children, the price you pay is definitely worth.
You can view the simple video of BeltLock here
And, Point to Note: If you are children are in the age of knowing the trick to release the button even through the BeltLock, then you might consider other alternatives (which I am still figuring out!) Hopefully BeltLock will be more innovative to find something for the Naughty Children.
