Review: Disney Pictopia from WonderForge

Is there any child who doesn’t like Disney!? not in my home really&nbsp and I can safely say, there are 4 disney lovers at Mummy and the Cuties – Yes, even the grown-ups. There will always be a Disney character roaming around here – Mulan, Elsa, Anna, Cinderella, Sofia… No time to list everything here.

So, you can imagine the excitement at home when we received a Disney Pictopia game from Wonder Forge for review.

Beware, there is a high probability that you might loose the game with your child as the questions are all from Disney

The game has 1000 questions which I feel is really massive, questions from Disney Jr. and Disney XD to the Disney Parks and classic films.

The objective of the game is to reach the Castle quickly and don’t underestimate the game , it has lot of tricks in it to make it harder

We defined simple rules to make it easier but the game can go on forever

How to play the game

The players take turn to be the host and roll the die and moves his mover to the spaces shown on the die. Each space on the game board represents one of the five types of questions on the card.

Before reading the question, the pictures are revealed to other players and they place their respective wager coins with a chosen number face down in the slot provided on the board. This represents the number of places the player will move if they answer the question correctly.

After all the players place their wager coin down, the host then reads out the respective question and the players secretly answer the question by choosing in their dial and then place the dial down.

Once all the players have placed the dial down, the answer is revealed and the players move the number of places based on their answers and the number chosen in the wager coins.

The wager coins used in this round are discarded and are given back to the players when one of the players run out of the wager coins

So…….. what’s special in this game?

You analyse and choose your wager coin based on how confident you are about the disney character regardless of whatever be the question asked.
The trick is to use the higher wager coin if you are very confident about the character and choose the lowest if you think you might answer wrongly.

There is also a group version game and there are question related to host and let the players play based on assumption on what the host would have chosen.
