Remember those golden old days when you blow bubbles in water with the straw and think that’s how you makes! No soda to keep it a secret, even now I enjoy doing it and whenever my kids do it now, I remember those super funny days of my childhood.
Though I am not an addict to fizzy drinks, I don’t avoid them and love sipping a cup of soft drink every now and then. Although I remember how strict we were in keeping Little Miss S away from Fizzy drinks until she was 5, We have almost gone as free as we could with Little Miss M (may be we have got a bit tired, to be honest) and she does enjoy a sip or two whenever I have mine. And that has become one of the reasons to restrict and sometimes completely avoid buying them. And there are so many days, I would really want to drink a lemonade or so, but find nothing at home just to leave me with a disappointment.
And, One day there came a surprise through the post. The ultimate and absolutely brilliant  “SodaStream revolution”, The lovely people at SodaStream kindly sent me a SodaStream revolution to chill out in Summer.
If you are in a hurry and not have enough time to read the post but still want to know about SodaStream, Jump to the video that explains everything.
So What’s in the Box to make a perfect sparkling water!
- SodaStream Revolution machine
- 60 litre aluminium gas cylinder
- One carbonating bottle
- Power adaptor (includes adaptors for different countries)
- Instruction Manual – You will hardly need it as it is very simple to use.
SodaStream revolution is different from the previous versions because of its illuminated  LCD display that will keep you informed about how your drink is getting ready. With a single and simple press of a button, the SodaStream Revolution turns ordinary tap water into sparkling water and soda in seconds. The drinks maker comes with a 60 litre aluminium gas cylinder and one carbonating bottle, so you can make up to 60 litres of your favourite sparkling drinks.
The setup is very simple. The Gas cylinder is fitted at the back of the machine and secured with a lid (That can be opened with a press button). The snap-on bottle attachment mechanism makes the process even simpler. You don”t have to fear about anything as the bottle and the gas cylinder is secured safely. The state-of-the-art LED display will not only display fizz levels, but also show how much gas you have remaining, so you’re never caught by surprise.Â
To make your favourite drink, Simply press one of the four carbonation buttons to select how fizzy you fancy your drink and then sit back and let the machine do all the hard work for you. We tried with the least fizzy level as we were sure that the kids would definitely want to try.
The Carbonation process did scare us a lot at first, but now we find it so funny and count many times it hisses to make the right fizz 🙂
And to keep the kids and you happy, there is a range of flavours to try and enjoy. Choose from over 50 specially formulated mixes, so you can make fresh soda, with 50% less sugar and carbs than leading (store bought) drinks. Make it the way you want, more or less bubbles, more or less sugar, it’s your choice!  We tried the lemon flavour first as we wanted to make something like a Lemonade which is all of our favourite drink.Â
And to give you peace of mind, SodaStream Revolution comes with a 2 year manufacturers guarantee, so you can buy with confidence. SodaStream Revolution currently retails at around £149.99 approximately. Though it seems a bit high on the price range, it is something that can keep you away from the store bought fizzy drinks and sparkling water  of which you have no idea of what goes in it and how long it has been on the shop floor. !?
Disclaimer: I was sent a sample for an honest review. All opinions are my own and receiving a free sample never influenced my opinions in anyways.Â
