I try to be Eco-Freindly as much as I can and do my best for my children to learn it. Whenever I throw away a dirty diaper, I feel guilty remembering the estimated analysis that the Diaper takes about 250-500 years to decompose, long after your children, grandchildren and great, great, great grandchildren will be gone.
But, Surprisingly I never thought of using cloth nappies for my children as I haven’t heard positive opinions about the cloth nappies. Most of friends and family were scaring me of talking about rashes and maintainance of cloth nappies so I thought I wouldn’t give it a try until oneday “Buttons Cloth Diapers” asked me to try their cloth nappies promising that it would change all the negative opinions I have ever heard so far.
So What’s the promise from Buttons
“Button diapers are quality, affordable, and adorable cloth diapers . Buttons’ is an easy to use two-in-one system. Our one-size diaper covers can snap to fit babies from 9-35 lbs, and are made of 2 layers of soft wipeable PUL with double gussets around the legs. Our snap-in diaper inserts are soft and absorbant, and come in two sizes.”
You might be asking me and questioning yourself why you have to use the cloth nappies when you can just save time with disposables ? Well, It is always an unresolved argument and both side has it’s own pros and cons, but I feel comparitvely, Cloth Nappies stand high.
- And, as you know, it has a great potential to save your cost. Except for the extra effort of washing the diapers, When compared to the cost you pay for the disposable nappies, the cloth diapers costs you much less.
- They are proven to be much more safe on sensitive skin than the disposable nappies that have more chemicals which might irritate the sensitive skin.
- You are being so responsible and helping the planet to have little less rubbish.
- And most importantly, You are the one who is maintaining your little one’s Diaper and sure you would try all your best to keep it hygenically proven.
The double gussets around the legs are excellent at preventing leaks. They are adjustable from 9 – 35 lbs just by the click of buttons and it fits the hip and thigh just perfectly. The Buttons do exactly (and perfectly) what they meant to do. They click very tight that it is too difficult for the little hands to undo them.
There are two types of inserts for daytime and Night time and are available in two sizes to fit babies until 20 lbs and from 20-35 lbs. The covers are avaialable in different colours for you to choose from.
There are plenty of instructions available on the site to care your diapers, How many you would need so you don’t feel empty :).

They don’t smell as much as disposables and they are prettier 🙂
Better for you Baby, better for the environment, cheaper than disposables, re-usable and can be kept and used for your next Baby or passed on to another family member with a baby.
I haven’t tried them yet but can’t wait to have a go.
Because they work out bundles cheaper
Because they are cute, squishy, environmentally friendly, cheap and generally a better product
I like them because they are so much better for the skin and saves so much money
kinder to babys skin
I prefer cloth because it’s simple. Instead of a constant need, is now an article of clothing to be washed and worn.
I have always loved how cost effective they are
I love everything about them, there not only saving the environment from major landfill but it also saves you hundreds of pounds that you would normally spend on nappies over a year! BUT my most loved bit about Cloth Nappies are the fact they have no harmful chemicals in them. only the other day my cousins baby got a huge slice on her leg from pampers nappies because of ‘Chemical Burns’?!?!? People are putting those nappies on there babys when they dont even know what’s in them or how they have been made. I don’t agree with anybody who’s buying the disposable nappies and I do think that we need to spread the word about cloth nappies!! Fantastic prize! I would love to win 🙂
Enviromentally friendly, cheaper in the long run and kind to the skin.
There are many reasons why I prefer cloth nappies. I personally believe they are better for my baby as I have known many children who have ended up with rashes from disposable nappies, and my neice also had the nappy ‘burst’ on her, and she was covered with what looked like silicone blobs all over her lower half. They are also much better for the environment and save me money too!
I don’t have any children but would love to win this prize for charity, to go to Romania.
