Review: Olly the little white Van Books

A few weeks before, we have reviewed the Olly the little White Van DVD. OLLY THE LITTLE WHITE VAN is a pre-school show 100% written, designed and animated 100% in the UK. It was most loved by the children and I was sure that it would be more fun for them to read the stories from Olly the Little White Van when we were sent a set of books to review. I was keen to see whether they could identify the characters from the show.

We have received 4 chunky board books, 2 Paper back story books, A Press-out Sticker & Activity Fun book and a Sticker & Coloring Fun book.

The Chunky board books are about Olly and his friends and are perfect for little hands 1+. Made with attractive colours and big and lovely pictures, it would catch the little one’s attention and will help them develop hand and eye coordination. The pages are easy for the little hands to turn them easily. The books talk about the characters Olly, Royston the fire engine, Jethro the Tractor and Bazza the Orange Van. All the books teach the children the basic words like Big, Small, fly, Sky, tree, See… And so on,.

What Mummy loved about these Chunky board books:

• Attractive, bright basic colours like blue, green, yellow and red.
• Rounded edge makes it very comfortable for the little ones and I have less fear of someone ripping off the cover picture.
• Cute expressions of each character on each page.
• Big and bold letters make it easy for the little fingers to move over the right words.
• As we all know, the little ones always try to turn the pages regardless of whether it’s read or not., having few sentences on each page makes mummy happier to finish reading the pages quickly.
• For £3.99, these books are well worth it.

The two paperback books are extremely fun to read with lots of pictures and tricky words for the toddler to learn. The Bumpton Rally is all about a rally race with Olly and all of his friends entering to try and win, Olly and Bazza are both determined to win, but there’s a surprise when Jethro the tractor enters the race, too! Gorgeous storybook with Olly and his friends. You must read it to know the surprise 🙂

In Olly The Chauffeur, Olly is the chauffeur for Bumpton’s biggest business man, Sir Ronald Grump. Will Olly get through the town traffic and get Sir Ronald to his meeting on time? Go On, read it and let me know.

Cooking, Crafting and Art is something that could keep Miss S keep happy for hours. So,  The Sticker activity was entertaining and keeps the restless toddler engaged and Miss S was keen in finishing off all the stickers just in one go. There is a board game to get more creative and the colouring book is just a time eater and you will never know how much time you have spent in colouring.
