Both my daughters are well behaving when it is food or snack time. For such lovely kids who wouldn’t bother me during meal times, I often want to reward them with surprises. We try to be creative by making Moon, star and sometimes even tree shaped Pan cakes (well, Ofcourse, anything we think of, that is doable and based on how much time Mum has to do it)
Recently, We were given a chance to review something amazing that would be a great helper to mum and the cuties – The Pop Chef from Character online.
POP Chef comes with a suction controlled popping device and 6 cutters in different shapes- Round, star, sun, Heart, Butterfly and a flower. It is fun and easy, Just press the cutter onto the food you would love to shape and pop it out.
We love potato crisps and I know I can not keep my kids away from it all the time. So, instead of buying it often, I try to make them at home so I could convince myself about making it healthy and homemade. So, We planned to try it for the Crisps. The cutter was sharp enough to cut the shapes and most time popping was easy, although a few times we need to fork them out.
We have also tried it on Strawberries to decorate the Birthday Cake. It was a big hit at the party and every mum was behind me to find the secret of getting the fruits in shape. Ofcourse Miss S was my little helper to get them sorted out and a big thank you was honoured to Miss S and Pop Chef. The strawberries looked lovely on the cake.
It is a great gift for any busy Mum and the kids. The fun shaped cookies and fruits must tempt the little ones to try the fruits and veg even if they are picky eaters.
Pop Chef is good for fruits and veg which are slightly harder in texture. This can also be used on Sandwiches but the more softer the food is, the more it gets stuck in the Popping device and you need some effort to take it out. After you are done with the cutting, Sure, you are left with loads of shapeless food to eat while the Kids love to eat the proper shaped fruits, Veg and Sandwich :). So be sure to leave some space empty on your tummy. It is the most loved kitchen gadget now at Mummy and the Cuties.
A video from Mummy and the Cuties while Miss S was having fun with Pop Chef. Don’t be cheated by seeing her working so hard though:)
Pop chef is priced at £9.99 at Character Online which I feel is a very reasonable price for a creative kitchen gadget for the little ones. The View is based on the fun and enjoyment Miss S had with Pop Chef.
Here is a little video from the Manufacturer for more ideas using Pop Chef.
