Disney has never failed to impress the kids with amazing movies and exciting toys. The Lion Guard Hyena Hideout Playset is the new addition to the Disney toys range.
The Hyena hideout play set kind of recreates the Lion Guard scenes from the show. If you haven’t got much clue about the Lion King show, it revolves around the life in the Pride land where of Simba the Lion King and his son Kion, assemble a team of animals to protect the Pride Lands. Throughout the series, the diverse team of young animals will learn how to utilize each of their unique abilities to solve problems and accomplish tasks to maintain balance within the Circle of Life.
The Hyena hideout playlet looks very adventurous with lots of built in traps. A tree with a branch to hold the animal figure and there is also an additional branch to hold the 4 legged figures. The branches spin around for extra fun! You can attach only one branch at a time to the tree though.
There is a provision to hold the Destroyer boulder on top of the Valcano and the set comes with a branch which can be pulled down to release the boulder down the hill to knock of the figure that is hiding down the hill.
The animals can be trapped in the Lava floor by pressing a button and the floor slides off to trap the figure in the underneath lava floor.
There is a scary Bone jaw jail to trap the animals and the lava wall can slide up and down to trap the figures in the volcano!
What we loved about Hyena Hideout playset
- Colourful and attractive
- comes with plenty of traps for the kids to explore
- The set encourages children’s imaginative skills and I heard a few scary stories from DD2.
- The Hyena figure looks very realistic and of course mean too!
- There is no job for batteries here so the set is always ready for a playtime.
- Definitely not a flimsy set.
What could have been improved:
- There is only one Hyena figure attached with the set and it would have been nicer to have another figure considering the price of the set!
The Hyena hideout play set is currently retailing at an average price of £24.99. Although it looks a bit expensive, the set do have a lots of things in it to keep the kids occupied and a good media to encourage children to build their own stories. The features bundled in the set definitely justifies the price.
