On 7th February, we were one of the lucky families to host a twitter party to help promote the new Premiere show “Zack and Quack”. Jack & Quack is a brand new show coming up on Nick Jr every Friday at 4:30pm. Perfect timing – just after those 5 days long school runs and when the weekend is just around the corner…
We were sent with a huge box full of Art &Craft items, Biscuits and Icing and also a lovely goodie bag for our little guests. Though I was more excited than the kids, by heart, I was actually panicking. 6 kids at a time, doing some crafts and I am left alone with them! It kind of scared me really. Luckily I was rescued by one of my friends who decided to stay over and help
We started off with coloring as all of them loved their Crayons (that were supposed to go in their Goodie Bag) and couldn’t wait to use them. There were few activity sheets as well in the Party pack to keep the kids engaged. That really was a great idea as the kids had some time to settle before deciding what they actually wanted to make as a team.
I never imagined the next thing they are planning to do is something that is going to keep me busy. We can never expect a generous “give up” policy from the kids. So, as expected, it started off with a little argument, a tiny shout and few sad faces and then when the time was up to decide what they are going to make, All I could see was only happy faces and those “Let us start!!!” looks. Kids – How quickly they forget all the bad things and move on with the life.. Really.. Something that we all forget as we grow older! 🙂 🙁
So, It was the making time and we all made a lovely Orange car with decorated wheels. Hope it does look like a car! Please don’t ask me where we rode our car to? That’s a team Secret. ! Here is the end result of the great team effort.
And then, it was the time for premiere screening of Zack & Quack on Nick Jr. All the children enjoyed it and glad I recorded the show as I was asked to repeat the show at least 5 times afterwards.
After all the making and watching, Everyone was hungry and was looking forward to taste their decorated biscuits. I loved the way DD2 got involved in everything.
We had a lovely time. It was sure hard for the mum to be on call all the time and also to take pictures in between. In fact, once I misplaced the phone and panicked if it was packed in the car! :). Despite being Busy and getting tired, seeing the happy children made my day.
A huge thanks to UKMums.tv for coming up with the idea to have a great fun day. Happy Kids and happy Mums.
