Wakeup Early
Not sure about you! but it was one of the toughest task for me until I got used to it. I am not going to lie. It will be difficult for the first few days, sometimes months if you are someone who loves snuggling to your bed for as long as you could, however the earlier you wakeup, the more you will find yourself energetic throughout the day. Try to practise a few things that will help you wakeup early naturally.
Tips to help you wakeup early naturally:
-
- Try and leave a small gap in your curtains/shutters to let the natural sunlight come in during sunrise.
-
- Set the alarm to wake you up early. Morning 5 – 6 is usually a good time. There are some wakeup clocks that gives natural sunrise effects.
-
- Stop snoozing your alarm.
-
- It is important not to rush while waking up. Try waking up slowly and you could do some simple exercises and stretching while still lying in bed to help your prepare your body and mind for the rest of the day.
Have your “Me time”
“Me time” in the morning helps boost your mind and energy and prepare you for the rest of day in a calm, composed and relaxed manner. If you have kids, waking up at least half an hour before them helps tremendously without even you realising the true benefits of that early hour! Your “Me Time” can be anything you like and get yourself sunk in, activities that can bring calmness to your body and soul, like listening or playing music, painting or even scribbling, stretching or just taking your own time to relax and enjoy your morning drink. Looking after yourself is another best thing you could do to yourself to keep loving you and feel energised. A quick visit to a parlour or spending time to put some simple make up on or even setting your hair are some simple things you could do to have your “Me time”. The award winning mdlondon has some lovely hair dryers and hair products to help empowering women with the tools, knowledge and confidence to enjoy beautiful hair every single day.
Meditate
More than for a physical health, meditation is for your mental health. Practising simple yoga and breathing exercises with/without a relaxing music would help drain the known and unknown stress that you have built up! Keeping you mentally strong will keep your body physically fit and strong. The breathing exercise can be done anywhere, anytime! Avoid taking your phone to the toilet (at least when you enter first thing in the morning), instead practise simple breathing exercises.
Exercise
While an intensive, a half an hour to an hour exercise is good, it does not have to be vigorous and adventurous, and you do not need to hit the gym. If you have stairs in your home, just go up and down 20 times, do simple stretching while cooking watching TV. The more you pump the blood in your body and get the sweat out, the more refreshing it would be.Get out in Nature
There is nothing more calming than letting yourself free in Nature. If you have a green space outside your home, just face it and relax, hear the birds singing and watch them flying in rhythm. If you live in a country side, it is a plus as you will have plenty of open space near and far, covered by green. Spend time in your garden, trimming the plants and decorating your garden. Even having lie in beneath a tree and reading a book would be a great relaxation to mind.
